A level is advanced Level course in a British curriculum. It is a two-year course with internationally recognized exams usually taken at the age of 18; these two years are divided between two courses, the first year being covered by the AS Level course.
Students aged 16 to 19 years who need advanced study for university and higher education typically take a British Advanced curriculum. A British Advanced curriculum builds on the foundations of British Upper Secondary, though learners do not need to complete that.
